The company has patented technology in a number of areas including for froth flotation, gold leaching and mineral liberation.

MMS is based in Cardiff, Wales – Europe’s youngest capital city. The companies’ projects are world-wide, so overseas travel is the norm for company personnel.

THE ROLE

For our future growth plans we are looking for a Product Development Manager to join our team. The role of the job will be to take Maelgwyn’ s cutting edge research prototypes from the R and D team and to drive them through to product launch into the metallurgical processing and water industries.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

MMS’s is currently rapidly expanding but this expansion has created a bottleneck in terms of progressing R and D designs into final standardised commercial products. Responsibilities of this new position would include

  • Researching market technical requirements
  • Ensuring compliance with international engineering standards
  • Modifying designs alongside the R and D team
  • Optimising materials of construction cost of manufacture

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the full experience that this position ideally requires includes.
    • Engineering Degree: ideally process engineering, mechanical engineering, mining.
    • 15+ years’ engineering experience. Experience within the mining, water or process industries would be advantageous but not essential
    • Previous experience in product development
    • Familiar with engineering nomenclature and able to lead Hazop studies.
    • Familiar with CAD 2D and 3D
    • Project Management experience
    • Good English written and verbal communication skills.
    • Good leadership and team working skills are essential.
    • Ability to effectively communicate and execute cross-functional projects and initiatives through different levels and functions in the business.
    • Microsoft 365 proficient.
    • Available for international travel.
    • Hold a valid driving licence.
