Maelgwyn Aachen Reactor Test Rig Now Operational at PT Geoservices Indonesia

In a significant boost to metallurgical testing capabilities in Southeast Asia, PT Geoservices and Maelgwyn Mineral Services have commissioned a laboratory-scale Aachen Reactor test rig at PT Geoservices’ mineral processing laboratory in Indonesia. This milestone gives mining companies across the region direct access to cutting-edge oxygenation technology for gold and silver leaching — without needing to send samples overseas.

Local Testing, Global Technology

The Aachen Reactor, developed by Maelgwyn, is a proven high-shear, oxygen leach reactor designed to improve dissolved oxygen (DO) transfer and accelerate leach kinetics. With over 80 units installed on mine sites worldwide, delivering significant improvements in gold recovery, cyanide efficiency, and overall plant performance. 

With the new test rig at PT Geoservices, mining companies operating in Indonesia and across Southeast Asia can now:

  • Conduct bench-scale validation of Aachen-assisted leaching
  • Test oxygen transfer efficiency on site-specific ores
  • Optimize cyanide consumption and residue grades ahead of plant-scale decisions
