Founded in 1997, and just having celebrated our 25th birthday Maelgwyn Mineral Services Ltd (MMS) is a small independent company marketing innovative products and processes in the minerals processing industry. The company has patented technology in several areas including for froth flotation, gold leaching and mineral liberation.
MMS is headquartered in Cardiff, Wales – Europe’s youngest capital city. This position is based in Germany where a significant portion of the company’s products are currently manufactured. The companies’ projects are world-wide, so overseas travel is the norm for company personnel.
THE ROLE
For our future growth plans we are looking for a Project Execution Manager to join our team. The role of the job will be to manage and support Maelgwyn’ s engineering, supply, and contracts.
PROJECT EXECUTION MANAGER
MMS’s is currently rapidly expanding but this expansion has created a bottleneck in terms of progressing contracts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Dealings with various vendors, suppliers, and fabricators to cover aspects of quality assurance and factory testing requirements
- Develop project estimates and budgets
- Implement engineering best practices and ensure adequate procedures are followed.
- Project Managing Contracts
- Ensuring compliance with international engineering standards
- Optimising materials of construction cost of manufacture
REQUIREMENTS
- Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the full experience that this position ideally requires includes.
- Engineering Degree: ideally process engineering, mechanical engineering, mining.
- 10 years’ engineering experience. Experience within the mining, water or process industries would be advantageous but not essential
- Project Management experience and familiar with CAD 2D and 3D
- Good English written and verbal communication skills.
- Supply chain management -logistics exposure
- Available for international travel.
- Hold a valid driving licence.
ADVANTAGEOUS IF
- Have worked for an OEM company
- Ability to use CFD and FEA
- Designing equipment, modelling and detail drawings
- Experience with design of P&IDs
- Control & Automation knowledge
- Fluency in German
- Worked with Product Development and version controls
- Familiar with SolidWorks
- Mentor younger colleagues (if a more senior applicant)
