Felipe has BSc in Mechanical Engineering from UFMG (Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais) in Brazil. In 2012, he moved to Africa where he worked in a number of Glencore operations of Zinc and Lead, then Copper and Cobalt.

Exposed to a wide diversity of challenging work and life scenarios, he rapidly progressed in his career, taking over positions of leadership and management. His roles covered expansion and sustaining project management in processing plants, as well as maintenance of fixed plant and mobile fleet.

In 2020, Felipe decided to change his work experience from the operations side, which is when he identified himself with MMS. Bringing a customer driven perspective to the company, along with his nearly 10 years of field experience in the mining industry, he is prepared to drive growth and enthusiasm within Maelgwyn’s engineering team. Felipe is fluent in Portuguese , English, French and Spanish.
