Joubert Du Plooy

Joubert has a Certificate of Achievement in the Multi-Disciplinary Drawing Office Practice, Certificate in SolidWorks Professional (CSWP). Joubert also has a Diploma Int Diploma in Piping Design Draughting and in Project Management.
He started his career as a Mechanical Draughtsman for Cross EPC where he had to learn and develop the skill in designing, planning and various CAD programs like Caesar, EsaPro, AutoCAD, BricsCAD and Inventor. He was working towards a Junior Project Manager to improve the company potential and had the opportunity to do work for AkzoNobel and Basil Read-St Helena Airport.
For 3 years Joubert also worked for Trewfit Controls where he had a much bigger role to play as a Lead Draughtsman and Workshop Manager. While he was working, he also was a part time Lecturer for African Academy and Academic Institute of Excellence (AIE).
Joubert is now currently the Computer Aided Design (CAD) Engineer for Maelgwyn Mineral Services, joined in 2022 April. Joubert’s responsibility at MMS are design and draughting, procurement, inventory and project management.
Joubert has a great interest in fitness and exploring adventurous opportunities. He is also a member of a few sporting clubs like Crossfit and Squash.
